In 2001, The Bob Stoops Champions Foundation was established by Coach Bob Stoops, Head Football Coach at the University of Oklahoma, to provide support to children and families in the Norman and Oklahoma City areas. In 2018, current OU Football Head Coach Lincoln Riley and former OU Football Head Coach Barry Switzer joined with Coach Stoops to create the HBC Champions Foundation. Each of these three legendary “Head Ball Coaches” has a passion for helping children, and their mission with the HBC Champions Foundation is to supply financial contributions, positive experiences and support to ill or disadvantaged children in Oklahoma. Whether it be hosting Special Spectators at OU sporting events, inviting Special Olympians to football practices, or contributing much-needed funds to organizations that specialize in helping at-risk or ill children, the HBC Champions Foundation is intent on providing resources to enhance lives.
Since its inception, the Champions Foundation has contributed over to $2.1 million to worthy causes. Our partners include organizations that focus on local missions such as Fields and Futures, March of Dimes, United Way of Norman, The Children’s Center, OU Children’s Hospital, Norman Youth Foundation, Cavett Kids Foundation, City Care, OK Kids Corral, and the Center for Children and Families, just to name a few.
We invite you to BE A CHAMPION with us as we strive to enrich the lives of children and families who are in need of our assistance by purchasing a unique gift on our website or making a contribution to the HBC Champions Foundation!
